Syd Niven, the founder of Northern Growth Academy, has over 30 years experience of leadership, training, coaching and mentoring with individuals and organisations across the UK and Europe. His work has taken him into the private, public and voluntary sectors. Communicating with passion and purpose he excels at helping people to grow and to reach their potential, often making life changing decisions in the process. With a strong commitment to individual growth and organisational development he has a particular gift of motivating and mobilising people toward their goals. Clients often speak of gaining new insights and ideas leading to real and lasting change as a result of their involvement in his coaching or training sessions.

Numerous organisations have been able to make significant progress and develop through Syd's involvement. A visionary with a real grasp of strategic development he is aware of how to help people work together to fulfil their goals. He is also a Certified Master Practitioner in NLP, Time Line Therapy™ and Hypnosis which supplement a diverse background of nursing, social work, leadership development, community based projects, teaching and training.
